What is a niche perfume brand you might ask. I am new to the topic, to be honest. According to perfume.org, fragrances are categorized as niche or mainstream according to the number of retail outlets stocking a scent or brand. So most fragrances that you find in Myer/David Jones and other retail outlets would be considered mainstream, brands like Chanel, Christian Dior, Estee Lauder and so on. A niche brand would be produced on a smaller scale, have little or next to no presence in large stores and would more likely be found in a specialized retail store.
This is a list of 20 niche perfume brands that I found whilst googling at www.highsnobiety.com –

- Byredo
